High and Wild Mountain Adventures offers a unique and challenging abseiling experience in the Blue Mountains of NSW, Australia. With only ten trips allowed per year, this adventure is not to be missed. The journey begins with a hike up the Wollangambe exit track and over the next ridge, leading to a thrilling 10-meter abseil down to the canyon floor.
As you make your way through the narrow canyon, you''ll encounter several more abseils, some up to 15 meters, and a few duck unders with pitch-black tunnel swims. The final section, known as the ''green room,'' is truly spectacular, featuring magical filtered light. Afterwards, you''ll descend the middle section of the Wollangambe Canyon, passing two excellent water jumps along the way.
Established in 1989, High and Wild has taken over 100,000 people on adventures ranging from 3-hour abseil sessions to multi-day snow and ice climbing courses. They are fully insured and licensed by National Parks and Blue Mountains City Council, and are the only company to offer accommodation packages.
Their full-day trips include all technical equipment, lunch, and transport from their office. They also supply a waterproof camera for the group to capture memories of the experience. With a minimum age of 14 years for canyoning trips, High and Wild welcomes adventurers of all skill levels.
Their experienced guides are outdoor enthusiasts with a passion for sharing the beauty of the Blue Mountains. They cater to private groups and offer abseiling lessons, adventures, and packages for beginners, making High and Wild the perfect choice for your next Australian adventure.
At We Wander, we are proud to partner with High and Wild Mountain Adventures, offering a range of unforgettable experiences in the stunning Blue Mountains of NSW. Book your abseiling adventure today and create memories that will last a lifetime.
