Djaadjawan Dancers, a 100% Aboriginal-owned and operated cultural tour experience in Regional NSW, offers a unique and inspiring two-hour cultural storytelling experience. This guided tour, led by local Yuin Elder and knowledge holder, Vivienne Mason, takes place at the Narooma Visitor Information Centre and provides a fascinating insight into the traditional creation and totem stories of the local Yuin people.
As you listen to Aunty Vivienne''s stories about growing up on Country, you''ll gain a deeper understanding of the hardships faced by the local Indigenous people, including frontline politics, rationing, and traditional food gathering. Aunty Vivienne will proudly share her family''s artwork and engage with participants in a welcoming space, encouraging questions and interaction.
This immersive cultural experience is suitable for all ages, with children 12 years and under participating for free. Participants are asked to bring comfortable clothing and a jacket for cooler weather. The tour is subject to a minimum of 4 participants and a maximum of 20.
