The Aperture Club, a leading provider of photography courses and workshops in Australia, offers a Master Manual Workshop in Greater Sydney, NSW. This course is the next step in mastering your camera and taking control of your photography.

The Master Manual Workshop covers exposure (shutter speed, aperture, and ISO), your camera''s metering system, focus lock, and focusing techniques. You will also learn about white balance, easy shortcuts to manual settings, observing the quality and direction of light, and composition. The course will help you understand depth of field, use live view for composition, and ignite your imagination by using manual mode.

The workshop is led by a professional photographer and a photographer''s assistant, with a class size of 4-10 participants. It runs for 4 hours on selected Sundays, and you should arrive 15 minutes before the workshop commences. The meeting point is the Metropole Cafe, Queen Victoria Building, located on the ground floor.

To participate, bring a digital SLR camera or compact camera with manual settings, a lens hood, a cleaning cloth, at least one empty memory card, at least one set of spare batteries, camera manual, camera bag, water bottle, snacks, comfortable walking shoes, sunscreen, and hat. Wear comfortable clothing and check the weather forecast.

The Aperture Club offers detailed course notes on completion of each workshop. Camera kits are available for $75 per workshop if you want to experiment using a professional DSLR camera. Workshops do not include drinks, meals/snacks, public transport, or parking.
