Off The Beaten Track WA offers an awe-inspiring 18km guided hike, the King Jarrah Hiking Experience, in the stunning Jarrah Forest of Greater Perth, WA. This full-day experience will take you back in time, as you trace the former transportation routes of the timber industry, which once thrived in the late nineteenth century.
The King Jarrah trail is a challenging yet rewarding hike, with some steep and rocky sections, but the last 11kms is relatively flat and follows the Murray River on an old 4 x 4 track. As you make your way through the Lane Poole Reserve in Dwellingup, you will encounter an abundance of wildlife, birdlife, and the soothing sound of the river flowing along the way.
Your journey begins at the Nanga Mill Campground, where you will meet your trained and experienced Lead Guide and Tail Ender from Off The Beaten Track WA. The hike includes morning tea, National Park fees, complimentary use of hiking poles, sunscreen, repellent, and access to all hike photographs.
To prepare for this experience, bring water, snacks, a camera, and wear a good attitude and big smile. The hike starts at 8 am and finishes at 2:30 pm, giving you plenty of time to soak in the beauty of the Jarrah Forest and the Murray River.
