The hike is a grade 3, with some degree of fitness recommended due to the length. Hiking shoes or comfortable trainers, water, sun protection, and a hat are essential. A headtorch is also recommended for exploring the Swan View Tunnel.
John Forrest National Park is located 30 minutes east of Perth and park entry fees apply. Public toilets are available at the carpark. As a pet-free national park, no dogs are allowed.
